The Region of Hannover is seeking professionals with university degrees for its public administration service. The program offers a competitive salary and training.
The Region Hannover is offering a unique career opportunity for experienced professionals with a university degree through the “Q-Two” program. This initiative allows career switchers to enter the higher administrative service with a starting salary of at least €3,566 gross per month. The program is particularly aimed at graduates in the humanities, law, and economics, and includes on-the-job training at the Lower Saxony Institute of Public Administration (NSI), according to a statement by the administration on Monday.
Eligibility and program details
The “Q-Two” program is designed for individuals looking for a new career direction, provided they have at least three years of professional experience. Those with backgrounds in administration-related fields, business, or project management are especially suited for the program. A university degree, at least at the bachelor’s level, is required for participation.
The program officially begins each year on March 1. In August, participants start the Employee Training Course II, which consists of approximately 1,100 instructional hours to fully prepare them for public administration roles. Before this, participants will go through a preliminary phase to learn essential basics.
For the year 2025, the Region Hannover is offering 15 spots in the “Q-Two” program. Interested individuals can apply immediately by sending a cover letter and resume via email to ausbildung@region-hannover.de with the subject “Q-Two.”
