The reigning German ice hockey champions, Eisbären Berlin, have locked in forward Manuel Wiederer with a contract extension running until 2028. The German national player and 2023 Vice World Champion has been a crucial part of the team since joining in 2021, contributing to two German championship titles with the Berliners.
“Manuel is a very important player for us, both on the ice and in the locker room,” said Eisbären’s Sporting Director Stéphane Richer. “In my opinion, Manuel is one of the best defensive forwards in our league, and he also contributes regularly on the scoresheet.”
Wiederer has played 172 games in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) for the Eisbären, scoring 29 goals and providing 28 assists. His consistent performance and leadership have made him a vital part of the team’s success.
