A missing woman’s body has been discovered buried beneath her own terrace in Detmold, Germany. The 32-year-old victim’s husband, who was the primary suspect, was later found dead in an apparent suicide in Bielefeld.
Family members reported the woman missing on Sunday evening after having no contact with her for more than a week. According to police and prosecutors, when questioned about the lack of communication, her 37-year-old husband provided inconsistent answers, raising suspicions.
Double fatality confirmed
On Monday, investigators discovered the woman’s body buried under the terrace of her home. An autopsy revealed that she died due to violence inflicted on her neck. Later that evening, authorities found her husband deceased in an apartment in Bielefeld. Officials stated that he had taken his own life.
