Residents of Essen can now book appointments with the Jobcenter online. This new system is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to expand digital services.
Expansion of digital services
The city of Essen continues to enhance its digital offerings, now including the Jobcenter in its list of services that offer online appointment booking. Following the Social Services Office and the Residents’ Registration Office, the Jobcenter has introduced a new software system for scheduling appointments online.
Starting Monday, September 16, residents can use this new appointment management system to schedule consultations with integration and advisory specialists, as well as with caseworkers in employment and benefits processing. The system was officially launched on Monday, September 2, according to a statement from the city.
This new appointment management system is a key part of the city’s digital strategy, which was introduced at the beginning of 2023. The strategy aims to make administrative services more user-friendly and digital for both citizens and city employees. The appointment booking system can be accessed through various links on the city’s website, with a central access point available at www.essen.de/meintermin.
For those who prefer traditional methods, the city emphasizes that all existing contact options, such as phone or contact forms, remain available for scheduling appointments with the Jobcenter.
