An alarming incident occurred at Essen Hauptbahnhof on Saturday evening, where a 28-year-old man was arrested for a series of violent actions. According to police reports, the suspect, already known to authorities, was observed by two DB security employees as he chased and repeatedly touched a woman.

When the woman sought help from the security personnel, the suspect allegedly insulted them and struck them multiple times with his fists. In a shocking escalation, he pushed one of the employees in front of an oncoming regional train. Fortunately, the employee managed to regain his balance, preventing a more serious outcome.

The DB security team promptly alerted the federal police. Despite resistance, the suspect was apprehended. Both DB employees sustained injuries and required medical attention from paramedics on the scene.

The man, who is from Hamburg and already has a criminal record, was detained following consultation with a judge and has been brought before a magistrate. He now faces charges of resisting law enforcement, bodily harm, aggravated assault, insult, and threats.
