A man living under nearly 30 different identities was arrested at Aachen Central Station. He was not the only person caught in recent police operations.
The Federal Police in Aachen apprehended a 30-year-old man who had been using almost 30 false identities. The man was stopped during a routine check at Aachen Central Station on the morning of September 3.
Initially, the man was unable to produce any identification. However, when he opened his fanny pack, the situation changed. Inside the bag, officers found a German passport that, upon closer inspection, was identified as a complete forgery.
Further investigation revealed that the man was no stranger to law enforcement. He had already been registered by the police under more than 30 different identities.
Document forgery is not an isolated case
The man was also wanted by the public prosecutors in Aachen and Frankfurt am Main for resisting law enforcement officers and committing fraud. He will now face charges in court for all these offenses.
The police noted that this was not an isolated incident. Just a day earlier, the Federal Police confiscated a forged driver’s license from a 23-year-old man who had recently entered Germany from Belgium.
In another case, a 25-year-old man was caught by police in Herzogenrath. He was driving a car without a license, registration, or mandatory insurance, and the seals on his license plate were found to be fake. The man is now facing charges for document forgery, misuse of license plates, driving without a license, driving without registration, and driving without insurance.
