On Saturday, the police significantly increased their presence during the “Day of Brühler Diversity.” This action followed a witness report of a man with a knife seen near Heider Bergsee, who was allegedly making threats. Although there was no known direct connection between the sighting and the event, the police immediately intensified security measures in downtown Brühl.

The event, featuring various local clubs and cultural organizations from the small town near Cologne with their own booths, proceeded as planned without any incidents. The police maintained their presence at the site throughout the late Saturday afternoon when visitors were leaving, to ensure continued safety.
