Two unidentified male bodies were discovered buried in a cornfield in Münsterland, Germany. The police are struggling to identify the victims and determine the cause of death, leading them to release detailed descriptions and a photo of a distinctive tattoo to the public.
The police continue to puzzle over the identity of two men whose bodies were found buried in a cornfield in Münsterland on Sunday, September 8. A DNA analysis yielded no matches in national or international databases. It remains unclear who buried the men and how they died. “The autopsy could not determine a cause of death,” the police announced on Tuesday.
Chief Public Prosecutor Martin Botzenhardt stated, “The toxicological examinations by forensic medicine are ongoing. We hope to gain insights into the cause of death and whether third-party negligence was involved.” The possibility of poisoning has not been ruled out.
Current findings suggest that the bodies were fresh, with police estimating that the men had been dead for no longer than a week before their discovery.
Distinctive features of the victims
To solve the mystery, the police are now appealing to the public with descriptions of the deceased. According to Julika Böhlendorf, head of the homicide commission, the men had “a striking appearance.”
Both men were described as exceptionally large. One was approximately two meters tall, weighed 100 kilograms, and was muscular. He was between 25 and 35 years old and had a reddish beard.
The second man was similarly built, measuring 1.90 meters, weighing 90 kilograms, and also muscular. He too had a reddish beard and was between 25 and 35 years old.
Significant tattoos
The second man bore distinctive tattoos, believed to have been done within the past twelve months. On his stomach, he had the inscription “Good Fella” and the number sequence “1312”, which is code for “ACAB” (All Cops Are Bastards). The self-designation “Good Fella” could suggest connections to the mafia.
On his back, the man had a tattoo of an Orthodox cross, and on his right forearm, a female demon head known as a succubus. The police have released a photo of this tattoo.
The bodies were discovered on September 8 when a dog belonging to two walkers dug up a boot at the edge of a cornfield. The alerted police subsequently found the two bodies buried in the earth.
As the investigation continues, authorities hope that these detailed descriptions and the released photo will lead to new information that could help solve this perplexing case.
