In just a few days, thousands of techno fans will gather to celebrate with Love Parade founder Dr. Motte at the third edition of “Rave the Planet.” Organizers are set to reveal more details about the event’s safety measures and route on Wednesday.
The third installment of the techno spectacle “Rave the Planet,” featuring Loveparade founder Dr. Motte, has already attracted 300,000 registered participants, according to police reports. Organizers plan to provide further details about the event’s security arrangements and route during a press conference on Wednesday. The parade, scheduled for this Saturday, August 17th, has been registered as a demonstration, as confirmed by a police spokesperson.
A celebration of love and peace
This year’s parade is themed “Love is Stronger” and aims to bring people from around the world together to promote peace and support the preservation of electronic dance music culture. The event is not just a parade but also a cultural and political demonstration, with speakers already announced on Instagram, including a video message from Minister of State for Culture, Claudia Roth.
Previous successes and challenges
Last July, around 200,000 techno fans celebrated outdoors, according to police, although organizers estimated the crowd at around 300,000. The event, held between the Brandenburg Gate and the Victory Column, faced uncertainty due to concerns over the medical services plan. However, just before the start, the fire department and police gave their approval and later expressed satisfaction with the event’s outcome. Details on the exact time and location of this year’s event will be available soon.
