At a wedding celebration in Wuppertal, five police officers were injured after a fight broke out among guests. The police reported that they were called to the event on Saturday evening due to an altercation between attendees. According to initial findings, several individuals attacked each other using glasses and bottles.
When the police arrived, the officers were assaulted by the guests with punches, kicks, and even bites, according to a police spokesperson. One guest allegedly brandished a kitchen knife, though no one was injured by it. The attackers were eventually subdued using tasers and batons.
The police took three men, aged between 22 and 24, into custody, who resisted arrest and continued to assault the officers. In addition, the police recorded the identities of 40 guests and issued eviction orders. Despite their injuries, the five officers were able to continue their duty.
