Argument at Nuremberg main station escalates: Man brandishes knife
As Merkur reports, a heated argument between two men escalated on Wednesday (July 31) at Nuremberg main station, leading one of the participants to draw a knife.
The altercation occurred in the afternoon around 2:15 PM. A 34-year-old and a 39-year-old got into a confrontation for unknown reasons. The situation escalated on the escalator leading from Königstorpassage to the central hall of the station. The younger man pulled out a knife and stabbed the older man in the back. After the attack, he fled towards the subway exits.
The police immediately initiated a manhunt. Several officers searched for the fleeing knifeman and were eventually able to arrest him near the main entrance. The victim was taken to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
